On the sidelines of the FICCI Higher Education Summit 2011, an Interactive Session with Scottish Delegation to India is being organised on Thursday, 10th November, 2011 from 16:00 hrs - 18:00 hrs at Federation House, New Delhi. The topic for discussion is “Opportunities for Collaborations in Higher Education in India”
Mr Michael Russell, Member of the Scottish Parliament, Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning will give the opening address. Around 25 Scottish Universities would be participating in the Roundtable with a view to collaborate and create linkages.
The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Assess and leverage the opportunities for Universities and Private sector to engage with each other in the field of education
- Review the challenges and potential rewards of internationalisation in the global market
- Share experiences of developing a system that works with employers to develop employable workforce
- Learn about Scotland’s perspective on the responsibility of higher education to society and the community
- Identify areas of possible international collaborations between Indian Industry and Scottish Universities
